L. Lee Foster, 68, of 112 W. Spring St., died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital, where he was taken after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage while downtown Tuesday morning. He was born June 16, 1897 in Linden, a son of John D. and Margaret Foster. He was married in June of 1920 to Lenora Scott, who survives. Mr. Foster was a 1916 graduate of Linden High School. He was a member of the Linden Methodist Church and a mechanic all his adult life, last being employed with Community Motors in Crawfordsville. Surviving besides the wife are a son, Harold of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Peirce of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Beach of Linden and Mrs. Fred Shull of Yountsville, and three grandchildren, Madonna Foster and Larry and Patti Peirce. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Willis Syphers will be the officiating minister.
